I’ve decided that I’m going to use any tax refund money, along with the economic stimulus money and a couple of paychecks, to buy these shoes because they are awesome.*  This will put me out around $3000, but I have no doubt that it will be worth it.

* Or not.  I couldn’t afford the medical bills after I tried to wear them once.  Plus they’re not so much awesome as incredibly stupid.
