Things the Computer Technology Department Thinks the Fire Marshal Will Be Concerned With When He Inspects My Classroom:

1. Computer cords running along the floor next to the wall

Things That The Fire Marshal Will Actually Be Concerned With About My Classroom:

1. Exposed wiring
2. Uneven flooring
3. No phone (and no cell phone reception)
4. No handicapped accessibility
5. A missing door
6. Only one entrance (read: no fire exit of any kind – no windows, no second door to another hallway, nothing – if there’s a fire in my hall, that’s all she wrote…)

I think I’m good to run the cords wherever I would like.
